title. protest against Sri Lankan independence day

I had no idea what to expect from this protest, I saw it advertised on facebook with only 26 people saying they were going so I wasn't even sure if I should go but I am very glad I did. before I even turned the corner to the road you could here the sounds of drums and megaphones which was a precurser to the view of atleast a hundred people all gatherd with placards, flags and scarfs. I didn't really understand what the protest was about but multiple people were willing to explain their cause to me and I got a sense of their passion and the strength of their beleifs.
