I relish impressively large protests like this one, I feel much more at ease and in a sense at home. I started my protest journey with the biggest protests that were happening at the time, the Women's March London and Save Our NHS March. Although I would always argue all protests bring a sense of hope, sometimes more people equals more hope. Smaller, more initmate protests can feel emotional and personal but on this scale bring something different. Marching through the streets surrounded by people for a mile back who inhrenetly believe in the same values as you can be like fresh air to some and freeing for others. Protests like this showcase the creativity that activism breeds, there are choirs singing topical remixes, artists designing hilarious and hard hitting placards, and muscians providing a sound track to keep us moving. Some may feel disheartened that this many people are worried about our future but it also shows that this many people believe we can change our path for the better.
